西瓜视频 College Students Experience Stunning Design in Copenhagen
Students in 西瓜视频 College’s graphic and interior design programs experienced the opportunity of a lifetime following the 2016-17 school year.
Sanford Farrier, an associate professor and Chair of Visual Communications, and Michael Miller, an associate professor and Coordinator of Digital Imaging, both brought a group of their students to Copenhagen, Denmark, at the end of May 2017.
Thanks to previous trips to Copenhagen by the Van Loan School of Graduate and Professional Studies’ Interior Architecture program, the infrastructure already was in place through .
Once there, the students and faculty members saw stunning designs all around them, including at the Design Center in Malmo, Sweden, across the Oresund Bridge, and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art north of Copenhagen in Humlebaek, Denmark. The height restrictions on buildings also created unique visuals for photography.
"For design students, Copenhagen was an incredibly rich visual experience,” Miller said. “This culture puts great thought into all design work, from interior and exterior architecture to graphic design. Experiencing how another culture communicates visually expands and enriches visual vocabulary."
