Community is one of the strongest elements of the Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ experience and Dr. Marcelo Juica, Director of the Van Loan School of Professional Studies’ Boston location is helping our students who are also parents connect with one another. Our students thrive in the uplifting environment created by the College’s faculty and staff, and benefit greatly from peer-to-peer support. To help foster this supportive environment, Dr. Juica holds monthly virtual parent cafés which allows students from any degree path, and any location to socialize with their peers and members of the College.
Each hour-long session covers a given topic along the lines of resources for parents, new courses being offered, life skill development workshops, or opportunities for academic support. The most recent discussion was led by adjunct faculty member Barbara Jones Esq. on financial literacy and she covered strategies our students can use to prioritize their spending, set goals, and save money. Each café provides an opportunity to deepen your connection with the College and learn something new. Join us for a conversation from the comfort of your home, feel free to bring a snack and your favorite beverage! Sign up for one of our upcoming sessions today!
All meetings are at 6 p.m.

We will talk about a fun technology class for the whole family—students who participate will receive an Amazon Fire tablet for the activities—you will even get to keep it!” —Dr. Marcelo Juica, Director of the Van Loan School of Professional Studies’ Boston location
