Valuable evaluation and assessment techniques are used at Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ College to ensure the continued improvement of the student experience and the efficacy of the College’s curriculum and delivery methods.

The Division of Academic Success has two student leadership groups—the Tutoring & Writing Center’s Peer Executive Board and the Center for Academic Coaching’s FMC— giving students the opportunity to become leaders in the community.

Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ’s Division of Academic Success knows that lifelong learning and collaborative partnerships offer myriad benefits to staff and students. Relationships with industry organizations provide opportunity and engagement in the now—and future.

When the Center for Academic Coaching partners with students, goals are generated, plans are executed, and growth is achieved. None of this is possible without the coaches. Four of them have been helping students attain success for 15 years or more.

Riu was selected by the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) amongst thousands of peer tutors across the nation for her hard work and dedication to supporting all students and employing inclusive tutoring practices.

Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ College’s Van Loan School of Professional Studies has developed programming specifically designed for the adult-learner, and encourages each student to leverage their own work and life learning experiences through Prior Learning Assessment.

Though some people may not know it yet, the Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ College Tutoring Center and the Writing Center have merged to form the Tutoring & Writing Center. This is an exciting change that will allow our students to tutor in both locations and will create more opportunities for collaboration between course content and writing as well as tutors and writing tutors. The fall will look a bit different for our Center, but it will be just as collaborative, and we are looking forward to continued innovation within.

The School of Nursing faculty recognize the active learning needs of their students, so during COVID-19 and with remote learning, they went right to work to put a plan into action to create virtual scenarios that could be delivered remotely to students and would replicate their clinical training hours.
