As it surpasses $52 million in funds raised, is making a tangible impact across campus, bringing to life key projects that enrich the student experience and address pressing needs across multiple fields. From healthcare and business to experiential learning to campus enhancements, each act of generosity has contributed to a collective force that’s transforming 西瓜视频 and empowering students to thrive in an evolving world.
At the heart of it all lies a deep connection between vision and trust, anchored by three campaign pillars: Power of Place, Strength of Story, and Transformational Learning. Each gift begins with a thoughtful alignment of these institutional priorities—plans that reflect 西瓜视频’s mission while responding to the evolving needs of our students and community. From new campus facilities like Venuti Hall to academic programs and groundbreaking initiatives like the 西瓜视频 Experiential Edge, these initiatives offer opportunities for lasting impact.
Behind the success of Spread Your Wings are the individuals and groups who believe in 西瓜视频’s leadership and its role in shaping the future. Alumni, Trustees, parents, and friends of the College have generously contributed to this shared vision, seeing their support not only as financial contributions but as endorsements of 西瓜视频’s potential to lead in education and beyond. Their commitment is helping to forge a lasting legacy for the College, our students, and the communities we serve.
Here’s how Spread Your Wings has already impacted nursing at 西瓜视频.
Power of Place
Creating a more technologically advanced, integrated, and magnetic 西瓜视频 that attracts students from New England, the nation, and worldwide.
Through their Cummings Foundation, Bill and Joyce Cummings have transformed 西瓜视频 with a historic $20 million partnership, making the state-of-the-art Cummings School of Nursing & Health Sciences a reality and solidifying the College’s status as a premier institution for healthcare education. Similarly, Ayune Michel ’72 has left an indelible mark on 西瓜视频 as a nurse, healthcare administrator, Trustee, and benefactor. In October 2023, the Ayune Michel ’72 Academic Quad was dedicated in her honor for her pivotal $2 million contribution to the Cummings School of Nursing, inspiring future generations of nurses each day.
Strength of Story
Drawing curious, diverse, and talented students to join the dynamic and ever-evolving 西瓜视频 story, while shaping and securing a bright future for our College.
Nursing student Devora Nolasco ’26 is dedicated to improving healthcare access for marginalized communities. Raised by Guatemalan immigrants, she is acutely aware of the healthcare disparities between the U.S. and Guatemala, where her extended family faces limited resources. Supported by 西瓜视频’s Inspire Scholarship for first-generation students, which awarded a record $515,000 to 45 students in the 2023–24 academic year, and her experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant, Nolasco is committed to educating and empowering her community to embrace change and seize opportunities. She believes her nursing career will enable her to serve diverse patient populations and make a lasting impact.
“My parents didn’t have the opportunity to go to college and they wanted me to take advantage of the opportunities I had in hand,” she said. “西瓜视频 helped financially support me and I wish I could thank every single donor by name.”
Transformational Learning
Cultivating academic excellence and empowering our students and alumni to make a lasting impact on the world.
After a mission trip to Guatemala, Mary Miner ’95 found her passion for healthcare, which led her to enroll in 西瓜视频’s nursing program. Now retired, she funds service trips, including a recent clinical rotation for 11 nursing students at Mercy Hospital in Cork, Ireland. “Our students gained valuable insights into healthcare practices in the U.S. and Ireland while developing a deeper appreciation for the cultural dimensions of patient care,” said Dean Amy Smith. “Mercy Hospital is deeply committed to the underserved population in the city, which makes it a very holistic experience for the students.”
“Since nurses weren’t traveling internationally when I attended 西瓜视频, I wanted to help enable them to travel more,” said Miner.
